What’s it like to GloWild?

GloWild: Hidden Treasure presented by Saint Luke’s returns to illuminate the Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium this fall with an all-new theme. Guests will step into a glowing nighttime expedition, following a mile-long path filled with the excitement of discovery and the thrill of uncovering long-lost riches.

Along the way, visitors will encounter scenes inspired by ancient shipwrecks, buried treasure sites, rugged expedition camps, and overgrown jungle landscapes—each brought to life through intricate and immersive lighted sculptures. Clues, artifacts, and dazzling displays guide explorers deeper into the journey, creating the feeling of a true hidden treasure hunt.

In collaboration with LEKTRIK ART, GloWild transforms the Zoo into a radiant world of adventure, where every turn reveals a new discovery waiting to be found. Crafted by 151 artisans using over 34 tons of steel and 89,000 feet of fabric, the displays offer a one-way path filled with photo ops, concessions, and entertainment. Special features this year include access to Sobela Ocean Aquarium on Wednesdays and seasonal-themed lanterns and activities.
